If i would to change anything about my town it would be for them to build something useful. Instead of building more houses and apartments they should help the poeple who already live in our town. if our town builds anymore houses or apartments there will be more students at school, and the classes are already too crowded as it is. I dont think our town can fit anymore people.

If I had to change one thing about my town I would probably add a "hang out" place for teens. The place a would create would be almost like a community center, except you would only pay everytime you go there. The admission would also be very cheap. The place I envision would also allow young bands to play there. This place would benefit the society because it would give teenagers a place where they can safely socialize, keeping some of them off of the streets.

I live on Brookside Avenue and would like the local police to install speed bumps. My street is used as a cut through, and people speed daily. It is dangerous because it is near the park where young children play.

If i could change something about our town I would change the fact that a lot of business are cutting down trees to build more apartment buildings, gas stations, and nail places. We already have enough of those, but we're running out of trees. We're ruining our enviorment.

Something that i would change in our town is the Prices on the houses. The houses should be more reasonable. So, people can move to our beautiful town living in a nice house that they can afford.

If I could change one thing in this town it would be the amount of nail salons! We have no store variety anymore. I am not saying to destroy them all, but to get rid of maybe all but two or three.

Something that I would change about our town is increasing construction developments. We already have enough condos and nail salons. We should try to save some space for the animals and their habitats. People complain about how deer and other animals are coming into our communities, but what they should be complaing about is all the construction that is taking away the animals natural habitats. Save some space for the animals, they were here first.

In the Caldwell/West Caldwell school district I would change the number of students in a class. In many of our elementary schools it is overcrowded and there is not enough space in the auditoriums, cafiterias, and classrooms. It is very crowded picking up and droping off students and it can be very dangerous. Some schools might even need to get expansions or open another school like Harrison.

Sarah I said...

In Caldwell/ West Caldwell i would change the size of schools and the number of kids in each class. I am doing this topic for the project and it is a big problem. Over the years the size of classes has increased a lot. From my experience some of the grades has three or four teachers. To solve the issue we could open up Harrison school. Also at the end of school there are so many kids and it is very dangerous because the schools are on busy streets. That is one of the problems in my town.

one thing i would change about our town is the amount of apartments/condos in caldwell which causes the amount of students in our class to overload with people. also, the amount of apartments/condos pushes the animals out and into the open, like streets. uhm its sorta a chain effect.

Something that i would change in my town is the size of the students in each class. We should either get another teacher to lower the class sizes because kids are not getting the full attention they need to excel. This really is a problem in our town.

If I could change anything about Caldwell it would be to create a free-of-charge youth center such as the one my old town had. Local teens had nicknamed it "The Hut." All you had to was sign up and you could go to the youth center. There you could play pool, air hochey, ping pong, listen to music, buy snacks, etc. The staff would even bring you on trips now and then for a small fee. I think Caldwell could really use a youth center.

Something i would change about this town is to have more varityof stores on bloomfeild av. so that kids and even adults have more of a convenience when need to buy or do somthing. like remodling the caldwell movie theather or adding mini mall.

Something that i would change about caldwell is the amount of money the memberships are for the community center and the pool. I would change the prices becasue so many kids want to work out to get stronger and more in fit and swim but becasue of the prices they can't afford it. So the kids suffer.

something that i would change about our town is to add more art classes to the schools or to add like an art recreation program. The arts is a great subject because it lets kids socialize while letting them do fun things. it includes singing, acting,BAND pottery, painting and other artistic skills. These skills also give kids the chance to try something new besides sports which are already offered in both schools and in recreation programs. Art skills can be very usefull and broaden students horizens.

Im not sure exactly what you want but I live in Denville as well as Caldwell and one thing I would like to change about Denville is the municipal building. There are thousands of dollars going towards the unnecessary renovation of this building and yet the elementary school has to use trailers as a result of their lack of space. The schools would be a much better place to put our taxes than this building. There was nothing wrong per se with the municipal building, the town just wanted more space for the police officers and mayor.

If i could change one thing about my town, it would be that we should have a paid fire department. Right now Caldwell/West Caldwell only has a volenteer department. If we had a paid department the firemen( and women) would only be focused on one job as being a firefighter. This might help firefighters to get to the scene quicker.

The education of our you is crusial and I belive that the teachers that are teaching our children know are great. But by building more bulding you are cutting down on the space that are you have to grow up in. I would hate to be the kid that when asked when you were little how was your nabiorhood. If I were to something about our town, it'd probably be to have a place where teens could chill. We don't have much of any place to hang out, and most the places get boring after awhile. If we had a place, like a club for minor's, teens could hang out there and bands could play shows there. It'd be a local place to hang out and could even cut down on the drug-use if teens felt they had something else to do.

Something that I would change about my town is that all the schools should be checked for mold, and even if they don't have mold, there should be dehumidifiers in the classrooms. Humidity is one of the reasons that schools have mold in them.

Something I would change about our town is the amount of gas stations we build/have. Has no one heard of Global Warming?! It exists and is a threat. If our town cuts down on how many gas stations we have, it would cut down on how much oil is used and that cuts down the green house gases. Therefore allowing us to have a cleaner environment. This would give cleaner air for us to breathe, making everyone healthier.

Something I would change about the town is the construction. Sure, construction is great, but it's very noisy, and unnecessary. We already have enough restaurants and shops, and animal habitats are constantly being destroyed. also, the pollution from the construction (dust, dirt, gases) is very irratating, too.

If I could change anything about my town i would change the number of students per class. With less kids in each class students will get the attention they need to succeed and learn as much as they can. As the weather gets hotter, the schools get hotter, too. Will less kids in a room, it won't be as hot. It is much easier to learn when you are comfortable. This can also kep kids from violating the school dress code. Also, with more classes there are more teachers needed. This can provide many jobs to people.

If i could change anything about our town, i would stop the consruction of new buildings unless they are absolutely necessary. I feel that we are tearing down too much wilderness in order to keep the flow of residence and business strong. It may be beneficial for us as humans, but think about all of the little animals that we have come to know and love. The fate of all wildlife in West Caldwell and Caldwell depend on uour decisions. For example, if we decided to keep on tearing down trees and building, there will be very little wildlife in these towns. The animals are helpless in this situation, they cannot adapt and change do better fit their surroundings as fast as we tear down their homes and replace them with ours. Keep the green and dont be mean. Help the animals and the environment.

So when their light is green and someone goes through a red light they can cause an accident. If the camera catches you then you would get a ticket from the police.

If I can change one thing in this town, it would definately be, without question, the amount of banks, salons and pizzerias. It is not that these places are not necessary, but they are in excess.
What we need more of are places of entertainment and day-care for children. Land is being wasted because there are at least five banks in a square mile. We probably have the most banks in the tri-state area. Our town could be a better place if we get rid of some of these places.

If I could change anything about my town I would probably like it if we got rid of all the banks and replaced them with something useful (or maybe merged them into one giant bank building). I would also try to use that space that the banks set up to make a park with a jungle gym or something recreational. I would also like less strip malls. I can't help but wonder what it would look like if you could look through the space all the strip malls now occupy. I might have slightly smaller class sizes. Small classes means more attention but less opinions, and opinions matter. That is what I would change about our town if I could (although there are an infinite amount of small tweaks I would make but they are not really important).

Something that our town could use is another middle school and elementary school. Our middle school is very crowded and most of the elementary schools are to. Also with all the banks in our town we could use more police to protect them from being robbed.

If I could change something in our town, I would change the music programs. I love music, and our town/school does not have a good music program where kids could really get together and play instruments. I am not counting the school bands because it does not really act like an actual band like "Green Day" and "The Offspring". I would like to have programs where kids could get together that play drums, bass, guitar, piano, singing, and other various instruments. Music is important, music relaxes the brain.
